Dust Bowl Brewing Co. has released its latest entry in the Big Beer Series: Fruit Fist, an Imperial IPA featuring mango and tropical hop character. The beer registers at 10.4% ABV and 57 IBUs.
Brewed with Galaxy and Nectaron hops and fermented with mango, Fruit Fist is designed to highlight both hop-forward and fruit-driven flavors. According to Brewmaster Don Oliver, the mango adds a touch of sweetness while maintaining the bitterness and strength typical of an Imperial IPA.
Founder Brett Tate described the beer as a complement to the series’ first release, Day Ender, with a focus on tropical elements. “We wanted the second release in our Big Beer Series to bring the same bold attitude as its predecessor, but with a fresh, fruity twist,” Tate said.
Fruit Fist is now available in 16oz cans and on draft across select retailers, chain stores, bars, and restaurants throughout California. It can also be found at Dust Bowl Brewing Co. taprooms in Turlock, Livermore, Monterey, and Elk Grove.
