Full Circle Brewing Co and Crowns & Hops Brewing Co have joined forces in a merger aimed at advancing Black representation in the beer industry.
The newly formed Circle of Crowns Beverage Group (CCBG) brings together Full Circle Brewing Co, recognized as the largest Black-owned production brewery in the US and based in Fresno, California, with Crowns & Hops Brewing Co of Inglewood, California. The merger also includes Full Circle’s sister brands Speakeasy Ales and Lagers and Sonoma Cider. CCBG looks to address systemic challenges faced by Black-owned businesses in the sector and mark a significant development in the craft beer landscape.
The alliance of CCBG intends to optimize operations, concentrating on production, sales, and marketing efforts. By combining their resources, the breweries aim to enhance accessibility of their brands to consumers and retailers globally.
Both breweries have faced challenges in accessing production facilities, distribution networks, and retail partnerships in the past. However, through CCBG, the new alliance seeks to overcome these barriers and establish a platform that promotes equity and inclusivity within the industry.
