Sublime Kush

Roadhouse and Odell Collaboration

Roadhouse Brewing Co. from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Odell Brewing Co. from Fort Collins, Colorado, have come together for a mountain-inspired collaboration to introduce the Sublime Kush (7% ABV) this fall, marking the fourth release in Roadhouse’s Kush series, highlighting innovative hops.

Crafted with two exclusive experimental hops from the Hop Research Council breeding program, Sublime Kush is defined by its prominent citrus profile, featuring notes reminiscent of candied lemon and homemade orange marmalade.

Max Shafer, Roadhouse Brewmaster, expressed his enthusiasm for the release, emphasizing the uniqueness of the HRC 3 hop’s contribution to the beer’s depth and aroma. Shafer was captivated by its intense tropical fruit scent layered with a refreshing lemon essence during the harvest season. Working with Odell Brewing, a team he has long admired was an honor for Shafer.

Brent Cordle, Odell’s Brewmaster, echoed the sentiment, describing the collaboration as a humbling and proud experience. Cordle highlighted the seamless synergy between the breweries, both deeply invested in beer quality and a shared passion for hops. The use of distinct public experimental hop varieties in partnership with the Hop Research Council added excitement to the brewing process, presenting a promising future for these specific hops.

The collaboration between Roadhouse and Odell marks an exciting addition to Roadhouse’s Kush series, following successful partnerships with breweries such as Creature Comforts Brewing from Athens, GA (Cosmic Kush), and Templin Family Brewing from Salt Lake City (Superdelic Kush). Each collaboration within the Kush series celebrates the utilization of new and experimental hops.
