Melvin Brewing has unveiled its latest creation just in time for the ski season at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR). Introducing the Jackson Hole Lager at 4.2% ABV.
Unlike Melvin’s renowned IPA varieties, the Jackson Hole Lager is a smooth, crisp offering tailored to refresh after a day on the slopes. It distinguishes itself by incorporating a touch of corn and rice in its brewing process, resulting in a dry, light body that enhances its effervescence.
Brewmaster Max Shafer expresses pride in the new lager, citing its ability to serve as a palate-cleansing refresher without weighing down the drinker while skiing.
Scheduled to debut during the resort’s opening weekend, the Jackson Hole Lager will be available on draft at various JHMR locations like the Rendezvous Lodge and RPK3, as well as for purchase by the can at the General Store. Its reach extends beyond the resort, aiming to be accessible across Jackson and beyond, even available at airports with direct flights into Jackson Hole.
Brewmaster Max Shafer, an avid skier on Jackson Hole’s slopes for three decades, expresses his excitement in crafting a beer that encapsulates the spirit of JHMR and its surrounding beauty. The can art, designed by Melvin house artist Kelly Halpin, pays homage to the resort’s scenic landscapes across seasons and features the iconic red tram symbolic of JHMR.
Andrew Way, Vice President of Marketing at JHMR, expresses enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting the shared Wyoming heritage between JHMR and Melvin Brewing. Way emphasizes the beer as a perfect match for the mountain resort, offering visitors a chance to savor the Jackson Hole Lager amid the winter wonderland.
