Redhook Brewery is set to launch its latest creation: Big Juicy Ballard IPA, arriving on shelves this April. The new addition to Redhook’s Big Ballard lineup pays homage to the brewery’s roots in the Ballard District, where it originated in 1981. Building on the success of its predecessors — the Original, Hazy, and Tropical variations — Big Juicy Ballard has a 9.5% ABV, delivering a potent combination of tropical hops and a lingering sweet finish. The Imperial IPA is packaged in 19.2 oz cans.
Kaylen Gibbens, Lead Brewing Manager, expressed excitement about the new addition, stating, “Big Juicy Ballard IPA represents both the tradition of bold, flavorful IPAs and the evolving preferences of modern drinkers.”
Parker Penley, Innovation Brewer, highlighted the meticulous process behind the creation of Big Juicy Ballard, resulting in a beer that balances a juicy hop profile with a robust ABV.
To celebrate the launch, Redhook will unveil Big Juicy Ballard IPA at Brewlab’s IPA Daze festival from April 19th to April 21st. Attendees can enjoy a weekend filled with IPA-centric festivities, including food specials, music, and of course, a taste of the latest addition to the Big Ballard family.
