SweetWater Brewing Company, the Southeast’s largest craft brewer, has unveiled its latest offering: the Hammer Red Amber Ale. This release marks another step in SweetWater’s collaboration with the Georgia Aquarium, with a portion of the proceeds from this limited-edition beer going towards supporting the aquarium’s mission of ocean and aquatic animal conservation. Hammer Red Amber Ale is available in Georgia until October 2024.
Crafted in tribute to Georgia Aquarium’s research, education, and conservation efforts, Hammer Red Amber Ale boasts a 5.6% ABV and is brewed with a blend of Magnum, Saaz, and Cascade hops. The result is a beer characterized by light caramel notes and a hint of whea.
Terry Hopper, VP of Sales, emphasized the significance of the partnership with Georgia Aquarium, highlighting its role in safeguarding marine life and promoting clean waterways. He noted the enthusiastic response from fans during the launch of the special-edition cans of SweetWater’s flagship 420 Pale Ale last November, underscoring the shared commitment to conservation.
Hiroshi Okuda, senior director of strategic marketing and corporate partnerships at Georgia Aquarium, echoed the sentiment, expressing excitement about the collaboration and the opportunity to shed light on the importance of protecting marine species.
Hammer Red Amber Ale is available in six-packs of twelve-ounce cans and on draft, including at SweetWater’s Taproom.
Georgia Aquarium, a non-profit organization committed to marine life conservation and education, continues to inspire millions of visitors each year with its engaging exhibits and dedication to aquatic biodiversity preservation.
