Tröegs Oktoberfest Lager Returns

Tröegs Independent Brewing has announced the return of its Oktoberfest Lager, a beer crafted in the traditional German style. This seasonal brew is designed to offer a toasty, crisp, and festive experience perfect for the fall.

The brewing process for this lager begins with decoction, a traditional technique. “By boiling a portion of the mash, we create a bright, dry maltiness,” explains John Trogner, brewmaster and co-founding brother of Tröegs.

The beer also features a kettle addition of Hallertau Tradition hops, which introduce subtle floral and herbal notes. At 6.1% ABV, the lager presents flavors of sweet caramel, fresh-baked bread, and flowering herbs.

In the spirit of Oktoberfest, Tröegs collaborated with German artist David Leutert to design the beer’s label. Leutert drew inspiration from the Bavarian flag and traditional beer halls, known as “Festzelte.”

Oktoberfest Lager is part of Tröegs’ Long Live Lagers series, which includes the popular Troegenator Double Bock and Sunshine Pilsner. This seasonal beer is available on draft and in 12-oz bottles and cans wherever Tröegs beer is sold.
