Tröegs Independent Brewing announce the release of a new year-round IPA, Graffiti Highway, an enticing tropical IPA infused with a touch of haze. The newcomer joins Tröegs’ roster of year-round offerings, including popular choices like Perpetual IPA, Troegenator Double Bock, and Sunshine Pilsner.
Inspired by a Pennsylvania landmark, an abandoned stretch of road transformed into a cultural icon, Graffiti Highway IPA invites beer enthusiasts to venture off the beaten path.
Graffiti Highway IPA originated from Tröegs’ Research & Development brewhouse, known as the Scratch Lab, where a 3-barrel system allows the brewery to experiment with hop combinations, times, and temperatures. Tim Mayhew, Tröegs Brewing Manager, emphasizes, “We’re able to taste the nuances of these trials and find new inspirations,” highlighting the brewery’s commitment to exploration and innovation.
Exploring flavors is at the heart of Tröegs’ ethos, according to John Trogner, co-founding brother and brewmaster, who describes each pilot batch tasting as discovering “a new color of the rainbow.”
To visually represent Graffiti Highway, Tröegs collaborated with Pittsburgh-based muralist and designer Jewels Despines, turning the beer can into a canvas of fun and funky label art. Despines shares, “The background of the can art is layered with classic graffiti elements like drips, arrows, and bubbles.”
Graffiti Highway IPA features notes of juicy citrus, tropical fruit, and a subtle hint of mixed berry. At 6% ABV, it will be available on draft and in 12-oz. cans across Tröegs’ entire distribution footprint starting Monday, March 4.
Joining the lineup is Graffiti Highway Double IPA, boasting an amped-up 9.5% ABV and intense fruit-forward flavors. Packaged exclusively in 19.2-oz. cans.
