Tröegs Independent Brewing has reintroduced Leaf Seeker, a West Coast-style IPA, as part of its lineup of seasonal rotating IPAs. The beer joins other returning seasonal releases, including Field Study and Blizzard of Hops.
According to the brewery, Leaf Seeker was inspired by the hop-forward West Coast IPAs that helped shape the early American craft beer movement. Tröegs brewmaster and co-founder John Trogner said the beer was designed to blend influences from classic West Coast IPAs with the brewery’s East Coast brewing approach.
Leaf Seeker is brewed with Citra, Chinook, and El Dorado hops sourced from Washington’s Yakima Valley, where Tröegs selects hops each year. The brewery says the combination produces flavors and aromas of citrus, pine, and tropical fruit.
The beer is balanced with pilsner and Vienna malts, has an alcohol content of 6.4% ABV, and is available on draft as well as in 12-ounce bottles and cans throughout Tröegs’ distribution area.
Leaf Seeker is also included in the brewery’s fall Perpetual Exploration variety pack, alongside Perpetual IPA, Graffiti Highway IPA, and Oktoberfest Lager.
