Tröegs Independent Brewing has added Night Gazer Extra Stout to its year-round lineup. The beer joins established offerings such as Perpetual IPA, Troegenator Double Bock, and Graffiti Highway IPA.
“We’ve always been mindful about offering a diversity of styles in our year-round line up,” said Tröegs co-founding brother and brewmaster John Trogner. “Night Gazer brings something new and delicious for dark beer lovers.”
Night Gazer is built on a malt bill that combines pale, dark, and specialty malts with flaked oats. The blend is designed to deliver flavors of roasted coffee, cocoa, and toffee. Columbus and Simcoe hops add bitterness, while the brewery’s house ale yeast contributes what Tröegs describes as its signature finish.
According to Trogner, the brewery has been producing stouts since its founding, and Night Gazer draws from some of its earlier recipes.
The beer has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 7.1%. Initially released as a brewery-exclusive offering, Night Gazer Extra Stout is now available on draft and in 12-ounce bottles throughout Tröegs’ distribution footprint.
